Can I watch satellite TV in bad weather?

Very bad weather such as heavy rain with strong winds, sleet, and heavy snow can affect satellite signals. However, the instances of weather bad enough to cause outages are vanishingly small.

DISH promises 99% signal reliability to all customers regardless of the weather or geographic location. The one problem that can sometimes crop up is weather damage to the satellite antenna. If that happens, it can significantly disrupt the satellite signal and will have to be replaced.
