No. All you need is a high-speed Internet connection and your telephone. For its phone service, Vonage uses VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol). VoIP needs an Internet connection of at least 90 Kbps of upload speed. Once you get an adapter from Vonage, you simply plug the Internet cable into it, then your phone, and that’s it.
