Vonage uses VoIP technology. In order to use the Vonage phone service, you need the following:
- A high-speed (broadband) Internet connection such as Cable, DSL, Fiber, or Wireless.
- A US billing and shipping address (for Vonage Canada, an address in Canada, same for the United kingdom).
- A Vonage Phone Adapter. You may also choose from several types of phone adapters that Vonage offers, which will be shipped directly to you, or you may purchase a Vonage-enabled adapter directly from a retailer.
- Any touch-tone phone, corded or cordless (VoIP phones are available too, they come with an adapter).
