AT&T Internet Technologies
AT&T Internet Plans are based on two main technologies: Fiber and wireless.
AT&T offers cutting-edge internet technologies designed to meet the diverse needs of its customers. At the forefront is AT&T Fiber, which uses advanced fiber-optic technology to deliver lightning-fast internet speeds and unmatched reliability. Fiber-optic cables transmit data using light, allowing for faster, more stable connections compared to traditional copper wiring. This makes AT&T Fiber ideal for high-demand users, including gamers, streamers, and households with multiple connected devices. With symmetrical upload and download speeds, AT&T Fiber ensures seamless performance for activities like video conferencing, cloud storage, and HD streaming.
Fiber based plans are from 300 Mbps to 5000 Mbps. These are 100% fiber-optic which allows customer to use both download and upload speeds at the same rate (symmetrical). Currently, AT&T offers fiber based plans of 300, 500, 1000, 2000, and 5000 Mbps, depending on availability.
Complementing its fiber-optic service, AT&T Internet Air introduces an innovative wireless solution that brings flexibility and convenience to areas where wired options may be less accessible. Utilizing 5G and LTE technology, Internet Air provides a dependable connection without the need for extensive wiring or installation. This makes it a perfect choice for renters, urban dwellers, or households looking for a quick and easy internet setup. With straightforward pricing and no contracts, AT&T Internet Air is a practical, affordable option for reliable internet access in today's connected world.
Together, these technologies showcase AT&T’s commitment to offering tailored internet solutions that cater to a wide range of preferences and locations, ensuring every customer stays connected on their terms.

* The maximum speed on a single connected device is 4.7Gbps. In order to achieve that speed, you must have an appropriate wired connection between the 5Gb port of the Wi-Fi gateway and a device capable of receiving the maximum speed. In other configurations, the speed will be distributed to all the connected devices using wired or Wi-Fi connections to the gateway.
